La Mode, is a unique wrist brace that serves as an extension of the users body and their self expression. Aiming to help against inflammation of tendons in the wrist.

Jasmine, is a fine arts major at a University. She suffers from De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis (Tendinitis). Shown, are what overused movements cause her pain.

One day I was on the train and thought of my first set of concepts dealing with supporting the artist in different ways.

Jasmine gravitated towards Fashionable because it functioned like her wrist brace, is less visually pronounced, and looks similar to her jewelry.
Opportunity: Be fashionable, not medical.
Jasmine values her appearance, friends, freedom, and ability to express herself as a creative person.

My goal was to find a concept that supports the wrist and thumb while being ergonomically accessible and aesthetically unique.
